£1000 Prize Money!!
The Mermaid Race is an annual event held on the River Teifi in Cardigan, West Wales. It is one of the main events of the Cardigan Quays Festival.
Fixed seat rowing boats from all over the UK will take on the 11 mile race from Cardigan Castle Bridge, down the River Teifi, around Cardigan Island and back up to the finish at Cardigan Quay.
